Theatre
This page contains examples of my Sound Engineering work in the theatre industry.
I was the sound engineer for Middle Child’s 2026 production Isabelle, the first production in Middle Child’s brand new theatre space. My duties included rigging the PA, fitting hairline mics for the cast, mixing the cast mics with live piano and sound design while also operating QLab. Another part of my role was programming the RF mic frequencies to ensure there was no interference or intermodulation.

Middle Child Panto - 2021 - 2025
I have worked as the sound engineer for Middle Child’s annual panto since 2021, which was my first professional role in theatre sound engineering. Since then, I’ve built a strong and ongoing working relationship with the company, returning each year to support the production. My role includes setting up and sound-checking the cast microphones and the band, operating the show during performances, and contributing to elements of the sound design.
I was the sound engineer for Middle Child’s 2025 production Biting Point, a unique outdoor theatre performance experienced by the audience through headphones. My role involved mixing pre-recorded dialogue and sound design alongside live microphones worn by the cast. The role included setting up and packing down the rig each day and also maintenance and distribution of the audiences wireless receiver packs.
